Christmas Giveaway from Hotel Chocolat. Say Yes to Chocolates!

Wednesday, 3 November 2010

The winner of my previous giveaway was Susan from the U.S. and she told me how nice it was that anyone was included in the giveaway. So dear readers, as promised, here's another awesome giveaway from Hotel Chocolat and me! And yes, it is another international giveaway!

Hotel Chocolat Giveaway 1

I was thrilled when Hotel Chocolat contacted me and asked if I wanted to review one of their Christmas products in the promotion. Chocolates?! YES OF COURSE! To those of you who are not familiar with Hotel Chocolat, it is a British-owned luxury chocolate manufacturer founded in 1993. They started off as a catalogue-based business then launched their first retail store in 2003. When I think of Hotel Chocolat, I think of their iconic giant slabs of chocolate. These half-kilo slabs of premium chocolate bars never fail to draw me into their stores.

With Christmas just less than 2 months away, they have unleashed their biggest ever range of Christmas presents to inspire you with must-have Christmas chocolates and stocking fillers, advent calendars, Christmas gifts and much more.

I was sent the Christmas Collection Gift Bag Luxe - a gorgeous collection of essential Christmas luxuries – with the alternative Christmas Dinner in mellow milk chocolate, the dramatic contrast of crunchy nuts and succulent fruit of their Dark Christmas Wreath and the excitement of irrepressibly Christmassy chocolates. This is an alcohol-free Christmas selection (I'm not a huge fan of chocolates with alcohol filling).

See the missing "turkey"? The wild boar sneaked it away before I could take a picture!

Bursting with festive flavours of the season, the gorgeous box of Christmassy chocolate collection includes melt-away pralines with cinnamon, almonds and orange, fruity recipes with cranberries and raspberries, super soft caramels, solid chocolate and more. My favourite? The wintry flavours, surprisingly, as I'm usually not fond of too fancy chocolate truffles. I prefer plain solid chocolates or nutty chocolates, that's why I love their "Christmas Dinner" milk chocolates, so deliciously smooth.

But the wintry flavours like Cinnamon Praline (smooth milk chocolate and hazelnut praline spiced with the warming, wintry flavours of cinnamon) and Gingerbread Truffle (a velvety smooth Christmassy ganache that is just brimming with the warming gingerbread flavours of cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg) were really good. The amount of spice is just right and did not overpower the chocolate.

Have I tempt you enough?
